Membership

Membership to the Institute is open to all CPA Finalists.  For the membership categories and the requirements for each category, please visit Membership Categories

Membership registration is done online. Visit ICPAK website. On the home page, select the ‘Membership’ tab, then select online registration, Provide the required information, documents and application fees to complete your application.

Where one is not able to have their certificates certified by a Commissioner for Oaths, they may upload colored scanned copies to their application portal.
This statutory committee meets once every quarter to approve membership and license applications.

Membership provides you with a wide array of benefits that include but are not limited to;

• Strategic and global partnerships locally, regionally and internationally to enhance recognition of the CPAK brand.

A member is required

  1. pay their annual subscription fees when due
  2. attain a minimum of 40 CPD hours annually
  3. avoid any professional misconduct issues at all times.
  • A member is required to submit their benevolent information through their online member portal. Click here to capture the required details of yourself and dependents.
  • Click here to submit your claim. You can also click this link for the rules and regulations of the scheme.
  • Status update at every stage is shared with the claimant through their email address.
  • To see the progress of your submitted benevolent claim, You may also log in to your online member profile, go to your submitted claims and click on the respective claim to see its current status.
To access these value adds, a member must be in good standing and must present their letter of good standing to the partner(s). Queries may be shared through memberservices@icpak.com
A member may opt to exit from membership. To do this, make the request through memberservices@icpak.com and you will be taken through the process. A member may also be exited from membership through a disciplinary process, or failure to meet their member obligations over a period of two (2) years.
For any professional member misconduct issues, please send your information and supporting facts/documents to the Legal department through memberservices@icpak.com

Each category of licenses has different requirements. Click here to get more information on each category.

Holders of licenses within the different categories are expected to renew their licenses annually. Click here to renew or apply for any of the licenses and follow the instructions as directed.

Subscription to the branch of your choice is voluntary

Once you settle on the branch, reach out for registration through the branch email.

CPD Programmes

CPDs are continuous professional learning activities that a registered member must engage in through their membership to enhance their professional competency, as well as meet their standard member obligations.

A member must have accumulated a minimum of 40 CPD hours in a year or 120 CPD hours in the last three (3) years of their membership.

A member must accumulate a minimum of 25 structured CPD hours and 15 unstructured CPD hours in a year.

Structured CPD: These are events that you have attended and been awarded with a certificate. 

Unstructured CPD: These are CPDs that you earn from reading or writing materials related to the profession. For more information on the CPD policy please visit the website.                                                                                                      

CPD hours gained from ICPAK hosted events are awarded automatically.

To upload non-ICPAK CPD hours, log into your online member account and click on ‘MY CPD’ and then “Record CPD”. You can then file for both structured and unstructured CPD hours.                                          

Download your letter of good standing as follows.

  • Login on ‘MyICPAK’ on the ICPAK website
  • If logging in for the first time, click on ‘Forgot password’ or activate account. Input the email address used during membership registration. An email with a link will be sent to this email. Click on the link and input the password that you will be using.
  • Go back to the website and click login.
  • Input you email/member number as your username and your password
  • Once you login, below your photo, you will see ‘download certificate’

 If it says you are not in good standing, this is because you may not be up to date on your CPD hours or annual subscriptions. 

  • Visit the ICPAK website for the list of upcoming CPD events.
  • Select the event you wish to attend and whether physical or online (where applicable)
  • Click on BOOK NOW and follow the steps to the end.
  • Your proforma invoice will be send to the email address you have indicated in your booking.
  • Pay the event fees through any of the options as indicated on your profoma invoice.

For physical events, you will be issued with your nametag whilst for online events, your access credentials, all after paying fully for the event.
