Overview

Successful organizations operating in the grants space have a solid grant management programme that begins long before awarding of any grant. For development initiatives that are funded by donations and grants, the project management team bears the task of guaranteeing that the limited resources are utilized in an ideal and effective manner to attain the most possible impact. The funding basket has been growing lean by the day, leaving most NGOs stranded on the planned development projects when support ceases. Even with the available funding, donor requirements remain stringent which calls for NGOs to be more effective and efficient in utilization of the funds.

The regulatory space has also its own share of compliance requirements that requires donor funded organizations to adhere to. Budgeting in the donor funded space also needs to align to current dynamics taking cognizance of the geopolitical, social, and economic environment. Tying all the requirements together, there is need for donor funded organizations to be agile, innovative, and conscious of their operating environment if they are to survive in the long run. With the onset of IFR4NPO and INPAG projects, Not for Profits Organizations are striving to adopt more professional standards in how they manage, operate, and govern the enterprise. The Integration of information technology and Evolving Audit and Reporting Requirements are somewhat the future of NPOs.

The global push and shift to sustainability reporting presents a chance for donor funded organizations to tap into new opportunities and also require of them to report differently in their financials. It is against this backdrop that ICPAK has organized the seminar to focus on:

  • Updates on IFR4NPO Project and INPAG
