THE INSTITUTE OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS OF KENYA
(established under the Accountant Act, Laws of Kenya)
THE ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL REPORTING STANDARDS (IFRS) WEEK & IPSAS WEEK
(3 DAYS OPTION)
DATE: 4th to 8th Sep 2017
VENUE: Hilton Hotel, Nairobi
TIME: 8am to 5pm
Theme: “Excellence in Integrated Reporting, IPSAS & IFRS”
Combining the power of IFRS & IPSAS compliance with the adoption of Integrated Reporting model is a strategic opportunity in Financial Reporting.
IFRSs are changing at a fast rate, both fundamentally and on improvements. The recent fundamental change in reporting Employee Benefits and improvements in Disclosure requirements of various IFRSs are cases in point.
Expectedly, these frequent IFRS changes are significantly influencing change in IPSAS. The recent quick introduction of IPSAS 33 to IPSAS 38 points to the IFRS influence. The Public sector should be alert as Governments transits to IPSAS Accrual.
It is in this context that the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) has added Integrated Reporting & IPSAS into the 2017 Annual IFRS Week theme.
