1.0 Over View
Put two people together — over some time there is likely to be a conflict — and that is human nature. At workplace, personality differences and diverse interests are the most common cause of conflicts followed by misunderstanding of policies and procedures. A study carried out in America in 2018 estimated cost of conflict at work at $359 BILLION a year. This is caused by diminished work performance, low employee morale, loss of revenue and negative health effects hence increased health insurance premium. If not contained, workplace conflict can go down with your corporate image and protracted legal suits resulting in embarrassments and avoidable expenditure. How do we contain workplace conflict through mediation? This session focus on:
· Conflict anatomy
· Cost of conflicts
· Conflict resolution as one of the roles of corporate leaders
· Where to start and how to go about it – role play
· Mediating workplace conflict: rationale, dos and don’ts
· Overview of ADR clause in contracts
2.0 Target Audience:
All ICPAK Members, Non ICPAK members & those from reciprocating professional organizations both in private and public sectors.

5.0 National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) Reimbursement
The Institute is registered as a trainer with National Industrial Training Authority. The Institute’s registration number is DIT/TRN/47. Participants who are registered levy contributors should apply to NITA for reimbursement of their fees. Please note that this is applicable for Kenyan citizens only and subject to NITA regulations.
