Introduction
Taxation serves both as a source of revenue to the state and tool for fiscal policy. A good tax regime should raise adequate revenue to the state without placing proportionate burden on the shoulders of the taxpayer. Therefore, the input of tax experts in the formulation and implementation of tax policy is critical. Since many tax-payers are not expert in matters tax, this area provides good opportunity to accountants to offer professional advice and services. Taxation is dynamic with ever changing policies, reforms and even rates. An accountant should be updated all the time on any emerging issues.
To dialogue on Emerging Issues on Taxation and the Role of Accountants, ICPAK has organized a forum for you to come and learn how to explore various opportunities and take advantage of while interacting with colleagues and clients.
Purpose of the Forum
The purpose of this forum is to present the latest developments in the Kenyan tax system to participants.
