Professional Forum: Emerging Tax Matters
Date: 1st November, 2017
Venue: Coast Branch Office, 2nd Floor Jubilee Arcade, Mombasa
1.0 Brief
In an attempt to bridge the ever-increasing gap between the national budget and taxes collected by KRA, the government has over the recent past fully embraced technology, dealt with the legislation framework complexity, widened the tax base and adopted pretty aggressive follow up on elusive taxpayers. Unlike before, small and medium tax payers are now on KRA’s radar. Things have changed and are bound to change even further. Professionals and business people in the country now have to constantly be appraised on the tax matters to keep their businesses in good books with the Kenya Revenue Authority.
To this end, ICPAK will host a two hour forum with seasoned KRA tax experts to discuss emerging matters in taxation including Income Tax Policy Updates, Taxation of employment income and Taxation of the transport sector including clearing and forwarding agents, import and export businesses.
