Professional Forum
Theme: Financial Reporting Fraud
Date: 2nd October, 2019
Time: 5:30 – 7:30 pm
Venue: Jumuia, Kisumu
Introduction
As most of the organizations edge closer to the end of the financial year, professionals especially ACCOUNTANTS are hard pressed to report specific financial results. This, in some instances, provides a perfect opportunity to report figures that favour other motives rather than in adherence to professional tenets, the code of ethics and safeguarding public interest. Pressure to engage in financial misreporting be it under or over reporting include; motivation as bonuses for staff, pressure for dividends by shareholders, and self-preservation for board members among others.
To dialogue on this topical issue, ICPAK invites you to join other professionals to discuss Financial Reporting Fraud during this month’s forum. This shall be an interactive session moderated by a well-seasoned expert and will dwell on what to do and not to do when faced with such dilemma as a professional.
