THE INSTITUTE OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS OF KENYA
(Established under the Accountants Act, Laws of Kenya)
Leading with your legacy in mind
Date: 26th October 2023
Time: 04.00pm-06.00pm
Venue: Online
Overview
Legacy represents your body of work at each stage of your career as you establish the foundational building blocks and accumulate the required wisdom to contribute to growth, innovation and opportunity both in and outside of the workplace. Your legacy grows with each new experience, previously untested ideas and bold innovations you were courageous enough to deploy, and each time you inspired others to see something through to fruition.
As leaders, we may not think much about the legacy we will leave behind until we’re changing jobs or when we prepare to retire. In reality, we are building this “story” every day of our lives. As we end one decade and dive into the next, it is the perfect time to reflect and be intentional about what you want your legacy to be as a leader.
What do you want others to see and remember about you? Do they witness your courage and authenticity when the team hits a roadblock? Do your actions and behaviours prove your desire to help others develop skills and advance careers? Are you a driving force, innovator, disruptor, visionary…you decide what you want it to be.
Our leadership legacy is an on-going measure of our core values, our courage to take risks and the degree to which we care about how we impact others. It is in line with this that the Institute has organized this webinar to help us evaluate and equip ourselves with the necessary skills to achieve a worthy legacy.
Key topical areas of discussion:
- How to develop and use legacy thinking.
- How do we manage the transition journey?
