ISA 200- Quality Management for An Audit of Financial Statements webinar
Date: 6th February 2024
Time: 04.00pm-06.00pm
Venue: Online
Overview
The standards setting process continues to produce standards and other technical guidance for use by professionals and other users in markets across the globe. These standards provide a framework to effectively audit and provide assurance for transactions within the corporate and public sectors.
International Auditing and Assurance Standards are designed to provide guidance on how professional audit engagements are supposed to be conducted.
To ensure quality for engagements for audits of financial statements, ISA 200 must be applied. This International Standard on Auditing (ISA) deals with the independent auditor’s overall responsibilities when conducting an audit of financial statements. This supplements other quality standards to ensure audit quality is achieved.
It is for this reason that a Webinar has been planned to provide more updates and insights on the status of the quality management processes for financial statements.
To get these updates and other guidance relevant to the Kenyan market, the following areas will be addressed during the Webinar:
- ISA 200 independent auditor’s objectives – a comprehensive overview.
- The general principles governing the audit of financial statements as per ISA 200
- The five requirements of ISA 200
- The purpose of ISA 200
ISA 200 is used to conduct audits and provide assurance to users of financial statements, ensuring accurate information and addressing the lack of confidence in reports prepared by directors.
