ISA 200- Quality Management for An Audit of Financial Statements webinar
Date: 2nd February 2023
Time: 04.00pm-06.00pm
Venue: Online
Overview
ISA 200 deals with the independent auditor’s overall responsibilities when conducting an audit of financial statements in accordance with ISAs. The standard sets out the overall objectives of the independent auditor, and explains the nature and scope of an audit designed to enable the independent auditor to meet those objectives. It also explains the scope, authority, and structure of the ISAs, and includes requirements establishing the general responsibilities of the independent auditor applicable in all audits, including the obligation to comply with the ISAs. The standard is effective for periods beginning on or after 15 December 2009. The International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) makes it clear that an understanding of ISA 200 is crucial to auditors as it sets out how the objectives, requirements, application, and explanatory material contained in all ISAs are to be understood and applied. It is on this background that ICPAK has organized this important webinar to have an in-depth discussion on this ISA and its relation to the associated standards and Quality Management in Audit of Financial Statements.
