ICPAK REGIONAL AML SENSITIZATION FORUMS
The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) is a statutory body of accountants with the mandate to develop and regulate accountancy profession in Kenya. The Institute is further mandated under Section 8 of the Accountants’ Act of 2008 to advise the Cabinet Secretary for Finance on matters relating to governance and accountability in all sectors of the economy.
The Institute in collaboration with the Financial Reporting Center (FRC) and GIZ prepared a guideline on Anti-Money Laundering for accountants to enlighten its members on their obligations under the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act (POCAMLA), 2009.The Guide was launched on the 16th October 2020.
Consequently, the Institute with support from GIZ has organized regional sensitization forums across the 9 ICPAK branches as per the schedule below;

NOTE:
- Booking and Attendance: Due to Covid19 and need for social distancing, physical attendance will be on first come basis. Interested members are advised to book and pay at least 2 days to the training for reservation.
- Financial Commitment: Charges: 1000 per Delegate since the training is highly subsidized by GIZ covering training fee and conference
- Travel & Accommodation: Delegates are required to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Continuous Professional Development Units (CPDs): Members of ICPAK and those from other reciprocating professional bodies will earn 2 Structured CPD points upon successfully attending the sensitization forum
