Overview

A report gives detailed insights and explanation to any circumstance thereby playing a crucial role in today’s corporate world by aiding informed management decisions, resource planning and solving complex business issues that may arise in day to operations. Considering the weight that reports carry, it is very important for professionals in all fields to perfect the skill of report writing and analytics. These skills involve gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to draw conclusions and make informed decisions. A good reporting process is cyclical and ensures that feedback and decision making occurs seamlessly and takes into consideration the reporting principles such as transparency and inclusiveness to ensure that both the writer and the report user share a common understanding of the underpinnings in the report.
The current global adoption of technology in various business processes has hastened the adoption of analytical skills in reporting therefore making analytical reporting a vital part of business intelligence.
