Overview
All professionals are expected to comply with the prescribed professional guidelines and frameworks that guide competency requirements. Additionally, professionals are required to conduct themselves in an ethical manner as they undertake various engagements. Professionals are also required to practice reasonable, responsible, and transparent behavior that consciously avoids harmful actions by embodying high ethical standards.
With the everchanging business environment that remains very dynamic, there is need for the professional accountant to keep abreast with the changing professional demands and need for compliance with the required legal and regulatory frameworks. This is equally true for the regulations that apply to the profession with respect to registration and licensing.
It is against this backdrop that the Institute has organized a virtual workshop to explore the various developments within the profession that impact the way accounting professionals carry out their engagements.
The session will cover emerging developments in the standards setting space, changes in the taxation landscape, ethical requirements for the professional accountant and critical updates on the Institute’s licensing requirements for year 2024.

Members of ICPAK and reciprocating professional bodies will be awarded 7 CPD Units upon successfully attending the virtual Symposium.

National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) Reimbursement:
The Institute is registered as a trainer with National Industrial Training Authority. The Institute’s registration number is DIT/TRN/47. Participants who are registered levy contributors should apply to NITA for reimbursement of their fees. Please note that this is applicable for Kenyan citizens only and subject to NITA regulations.
