Brief
Excel plays a key role in enabling the work of finance and accounting professionals and mastery of the platform goes a long way to improve financial management processes. Financial Modelling involves the creation of an abstract representation of a real life financial situation with the goal of forecasting a business’ financial performance in the future. This is usually based on the company’s historical performance and assumptions about the future.
Cognizant of the critical nature of this skill, ICPAK has undertaken the organization of a forum for beginners to equip professionals with critical skills in areas including:
- Key aspects in modelling –Do’s and Don’ts of Financial Modelling, Basic knowledge Required
- Excel productivity and tips including common errors
- Assumption creation – use of case study to create assumptions
- Modelling into the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow – modelling growth drivers, depreciation cost drivers, assets schedule, debt schedule, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow and Ratios
