Evening Talk: Assessment, Testing and Documenting Risks for Small Entities
In the current complex business environment, there has been increased interest and investment by large, medium and small firms in enterprise risk management. For many firms, this is the direct result of experiencing one or more preventable significant business failure while for others it is as a form of regulatory compliance. But for whatever reasons it is clear that the success of a business whether large, medium or small depends on the management of emerging risks and how to move on after the occurrence of a risk.
Risk related matters are getting more complicated with the new way of thinking in the risk management discourse that classifies all risks as foreseeable and manageable irrespective of the complexities involved and that none are truly unpredictable or black swans. This line of thinking can put a lot of pressure on firms’ executives on their quest to manage risks. This evening talk will focus on how small entities can asses, test and document risks.
The talk will take place on 2nd September 2015 at the ICPAK Coast Branch office (Jubilee Insurance Building, Moi Avenue, 2nd Floor, Room 16B) from 5:30 PM. Charges are Kshs. 1, 500.Members in attendance will earn 3 CPD Hours.
