Overview
In June 2005, the IESBA (formerly the Ethics Committee) issued a revised Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants. The revised Code establishes a conceptual framework for all professional accountants to ensure compliance with the five fundamental principles of ethics. The International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (including International Independence Standards) (the Code) sets out fundamental principles of ethics for professional accountants, reflecting the profession’s recognition of its public interest responsibility. The Code also provides a conceptual framework to identify, evaluate and address threats to compliance with the Code’s principles, and where applicable, to independence.
Ethical compliance is key to maintaining public confidence in the accountancy profession. The revised Code establishes a conceptual framework for all professional accountants. This training aims to help Professionals ensure compliance with the five fundamental principles of ethics:
Integrity.
Objectivity.
Professional Competence and Due Care.
Confidentiality.
Professional Behavior

The Institute is registered as a trainer with National Industrial Training Authority. The Institute’s registration number is DIT/TRN/47. Participants who are registered levy contributors should apply to NITA for reimbursement of their fees. Please note that this is applicable for Kenyan citizens only and subject to NITA regulations.
