OVERVIEW
The CFOs have insights into every business unit, having the visibility into opportunities that can be unlocked by information led transformation. It is no surprise, CFOs are assuming new strategic roles
that are tasked with guiding the growth of companies, building digital organizations, and transforming the finance function.
In their quest to bring change, growth and sustainability, the today’s CFO has grappled with several challenges.
The Forum discussions will focus on some of the challenges faced by CFOs namely:
- Big data: What are the Emerging trends and challenges?
- Way forward: how companies can adopt it and overcome challenges
- Automation with technology: In the year 2022 many businesses embraced technology in new ways, leading to success driving growth while most workforces were remotely connected.

- Prevent fraud and invest in cybersecurity: Part of the CFOs mandate is to be economic guardian of the business, the leaders are responsible for risk management, finding and preventing fraud and investing in cybersecurity.
- CFOs need to be aware of the need to protect sensitive data and the potential costs that cyberattacks can cause.
- Embrace Innovation: CFOs expanded role will largely depend on how well they can lead innovation with their organizations.
- Top challenge in 2023 for CFOs is to continue the pace of change that enable businesses to survive the climate of the past year and capture future opportunities.

Continuous Professional Development Units (CPD Units):
Members of ICPAK and reciprocating professional bodies will be awarded 5 CPD Units upon successfully attending and participating in the forum

The Institute is registered as a trainer with National Industrial Training Authority. The Institute’s registration number is DIT/TRN/47. Participants who are registered levy contributors should apply to NITA for reimbursement of their fees. Please note that this is applicable for Kenyan citizens only and subject to NITA regulations.
