Board Readiness and Corporate Governance Webinar
Date: 3rd February 2022
Venue: Webinar
Time: 04.00pm-06.00pm
Overview
There is mounting pressure for corporate boards to have diversity in their ranks with a precise focus on having executives who carry different functional and cultural backgrounds. The current dynamic business environment has put a spotlight on board members and their ability to steer organizations to greater heights. Increased corporate scandals have left many boards limping with corporate governance issues. It behooves board members to have a deeper understanding of the organizations they serve, uphold high ethical standards, familiarize themselves with the complex business environment to generate governance goals for long-term performance that keeps the business as a going concern.
The board readiness bar keeps getting higher which demands board members to deliver governance effectively and demonstrate their technical expertise by developing boardroom capital. Building boardroom capital calls for initiative and effort from board members by preparing and positioning themselves to serve in pursuit of organizational success. It is in appreciation of this that ICPAK has organized the webinar to bring to the limelight what current leaders and those warming up for board roles should do to uphold the corporate governance mantra.
The webinar shall focus on:
- Building Boardroom Capital as a Board Member
- Fostering a Positive Working Relationship between the Board and Management
