Financial Reporting Centre: Ways of Collaboration for Professionals

- OVERVIEW
The Financial Reporting Centre (FRC, or the Centre) is a Government institution created by the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act (POCAMLA) 2009, with the principal objective being to assist in the identification of the proceeds of crime and the combating of money laundering.
The Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) 2012 also mandates the Centre with the fight against financing of terrorism. The Centre started operations in April 2012.
In this webcast, an authority from the Centre will take us through the role and mandate of FRC and propose ways professionals can collaborate to combat the vice – including Asset Recovery.
2. CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT UNITS (CPD UNITS):
Members of ICPAK and those from other reciprocating professional bodies will be awarded 1 CPD Units upon successfully completion of the Webinar.
3. FINANCIAL COMMITMENT:
The Webinar charges are Kshs. 500. Charges will cater for online video access fees, learning materials, and e-certificates of attendance

5. NATIONAL INDUSTRIAL TRAINING AUTHORITY (NITA) REIMBURSEMENT:
The Institute is registered as a trainer with National Industrial Training Authority. The Institute’s registration number is DIT/TRN/47. Participants who are registered levy contributors should apply to NITA for reimbursement of their fees. Please note that this is applicable for Kenyan citizens only and subject to NITA regulations.
