THEME: CELEBRATING FINANCIAL DEEPENING IN KENYA
Kenyan financial Services Sector has grown tremendously in the recent times fuelled largely by innovations that have enhanced financial deepening. While technology based innovations such as integrating the mobile phone with financial institutions account for the largest segment of growth, other changes such as focus on the unbanked public and taking services to the customer have welcomed many new clients into the financial system for the first time.
The Kenyan Financial systems are crucial in resource allocation and hence the reason that ICPAK organizes the annual financial services conference and exhibition. This conference and exhibition brings together sector players from banking, deposit protection, capital markets, insurance industry, and pension industry, SACCOS to discuss recent happenings and their implications on the health of Kenya’s financial system. Other than industry players the conference attracts accountants, auditors, lawyers, actuaries and other professionals for candid discussions about the sector. This year our theme is a celebration of financial deepening that has been fuelled by innovations both in modes of service delivery and use of technology.
The exhibition attracts participants from the breadth of the financial system, universities and colleges training professionals for the financial services sector. Over the years, the exhibition has grown to attract many members of the public, trainee accountants, members of ICPAK and other professionals interested in learning more about the financial services sector. This year’s financial services conference will dwell on:
