The National Treasury has commenced the review of the Income Tax Act- Cap 470.
ICPAK however recognizes that legislation, including subsidiary legislation, traces its foundation on an agreed policy framework, to establish the most appropriate approach to resolve a problem.
In fulfilling its mandate, ICPAK seeks to contribute to this process by facilitating a platform for Professionals, the Business community and Non-State Actors to engage in the development of an Income Tax Policy, to support the National Treasury efforts in reviewing the ITA. The Institute has therefore scheduled a series of engagements to facilitate the participation of critical stakeholders in the development of this policy.
To this end, ICPAK has planned forums at the branch level to collect views on policy priorities that should guide drafting of an Income Tax legislation. This is therefore to request you to invite 50 members of your branch to the upcoming regional workshops scheduled as follows:
