THE 33rd ANNUAL SEMINAR

 Date: 23rd -26th May 2017

Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort, Mombasa

Theme: Professionals as vanguards of public good; introspection from the accountancy profession

 About the Seminar

The hallmarks of a profession lie in restricted entry, specialization, expected code of behavior continual learning and safeguarding public interest.  Members of a profession such as accountancy work in most sectors of the economy and society providing a critical service that aggregates and communicates the results of enterprises and organizations both public and private.  As such, professionals occupy a revered position and the public relies on their advice and reports firm in faith that objectivity is their cornerstone value.  Key concern however is whether the Accountancy value chain has remained steadfast and true to professional ethos and practices both nationally and globally.

It is therefore apt that accountants and business leaders congregate and by way plenary presentations, expert perspectives and panel discussions reflect on their role and develop better approaches in amplifying their role in society for the greater good.

The following topics and presentations have been lined up for the 33rd Annual Seminar
