REGAINING PUBLIC CONFIDENCE THROUGH AUDIT QUALITY
Overview
As business concerns strive to communicate clearly, openly and effectively about their financial performance, stakeholders on the other hand are demanding greater information and transparency from them. To enhance credibility of the information contained in the financial reports auditors are expected to give independent opinions on the same. Unfortunately the recent economic scandals and tragedies which have unfolded across a range of sectors have revealed an emerging trend of failed audit assignments. This has raised critical questions on the role of the auditors in discovering and reporting misstatements and issuance of modified or qualified reports.
ICPAK has organized a two day workshop to address how auditors can regain the lost public confidence through performance of quality audits. This will be through a selection of well selected topics like addressing disclosures in the audit of financial statements, auditors and whistle blowing, common accounting falsifications, root cause analysis and bypassing deficiencies in financial statement presentations.
