Overview
Every year, ICPAK hosts its members, representatives from other professions, business leaders, ICPAK’s corporate partners, Institute’s past Chairmen and Council members among other prominent guests to celebrate professional achievements as they recognize great men and women who have selflessly made contributions that have positively shaped and enriched the accountancy profession in Kenya. Attracting participants across various economic divide, the event will provide a forum to network with colleagues and other professionals, enabling participants to contribute their perspectives and ideas freely whilst enjoying a fun-filled night.
Professional accountants continue to make meaningful contributions to the economy at the local, national, and global levels. Specifically, high-quality corporate reporting is key to improving transparency, facilitating the mobilization of domestic and international investment, creating a sound investment environment, and fostering investor confidence, thus promoting financial stability. The 10th ICPAK Chairman’s Ball continues to celebrate professional accountants who leave an indelible mark while at the forefront of service delivery in their different spaces.
With a demand for services at an all-time high and a decline in the number of people entering the accounting profession, attracting, developing, and retaining the next generation — Generation Z (GenZ) — is crucial to the success and sustainability of CPA firms. The best leaders show team members the potential that lies ahead and create pathways to success. Gen Zs are entrepreneurial and ambitious; therefore, creating a work environment that promotes growth is essential. Accountancy firms need to demonstrate how they invest in their associates’ development. Developing a Competency Performance Management (CPM) model that establishes personal and professional goals and objectives is paramount. This incorporates a learning environment with individualized training that represents a vision of success. This calls for distinguished service to the profession and country, which is the premise of the Chairman’s Ball.
