Introduction and Overview
Data analysis encompasses the processes of evaluating data value and translating it into useful structured information for purposes of driving decision making. It consists of data mining, statistical analysis, business analytics, descriptive and predictive analysis, and big data analytics.
In the current competitive and dynamic market, organizations face the pressure of increasing value to their shareholders. To do this, it is imperative that collected information is promptly processed and any insights acted upon in good time. Data is the new oil it is said and the lack of this critical consideration on data analytics may prove more costly as deal-breaking insights may be missed causing regrettable opportunity costs. Analysing data empowers better decision-making.
Any serious organisation therefor, that hopes to survive the ever-changing business and operational environments must then proceed and equip itself with adequate data tools and skills. This course shall seek to illuminate on both thus handing the power right into the hands of any business model that will be open to the data story.
