Overview
The role of an accountant is quickly being reshaped owing to emerging technologies that are poised to do the heavy lifting of repetitive tasks. Blockchain, robotics, and automation are few cases in point of disruptive technologies having a bearing on the accountancy profession. As an enabler, technology is being primed to help with improved decision making, security, productivity, and generally better business insights. It is argued that technology is the future of the profession, and it comes to support accountants more than replacing them, and the most effective accountants will be the ones open to change and quick to embrace technology.
With the advent of Artificial Intelligence, professional accountants need to warm up to an era of little numbers crunching to possessing soft skills and decision-making support. This Digital conclave aims at equipping participants with knowledge on emerging technologies in the profession and how best to prepare for adoption to support accountancy roles. The conclave will look at:

Target Audience
This workshop will be useful to all professional Accountants and those aspiring to join the profession
Continuous Professional Development Units (CPD Units):
Members of ICPAK and reciprocating professional bodies will be awarded 10 CPD Units upon successfully attending the session.
Cost:
Charges for the training will be Kes 5,000/= which will cover workshop fees, materials, and e-certificates of attendance.

The Institute is registered as a trainer with National Industrial Training Authority. The Institute’s registration number is DIT/TRN/47. Participants who are registered levy contributors should apply to NITA for reimbursement of their fees. Please note that this is applicable for Kenyan citizens only and subject to NITA regulations.
