OVERVIEW
The First-time Implementation Guide is aimed at helping practitioners understand and implement the requirements of the International Standard on Quality Management (ISQM) 2, Engagement Quality Reviews. It does not amend or supersede the International Standard on Quality Management (ISQMs).
ISQM 2 is a unique standard because it addresses the responsibilities of the firm and the engagement quality reviewer. ISQM 2 addresses the specific requirements for the appointment and eligibility of the engagement quality reviewer and the performance and documentation of the review. The objective of the standard includes a reference to the engagement quality review being carried out by an eligible individual appointed by the firm to conduct an objective evaluation of the significant judgments made by the engagement team and the conclusions reached thereon).
Continuous Professional Development Units (CPD Units):
Members of ICPAK and reciprocating professional bodies will be awarded 2 CPD Units upon successful completion.
Target Audience:
Accounting and finance professionals, finance managers, program accountants, finance directors, grants officers and managers, senior operations staff, auditors and compliance officers, project managers, personnel of humanitarian/development organizations, non-finance professionals with interest in Not-for-profit organizations, consultants and auditors serving not-for-profit entities. The audience is drawn from Foundations, NGOs, Trusts, Academia, Country Governments, Government entities. Faith based organizations, Charities and NGO regulatory bodies.
Cost:
Charges for the training will be Kes 2,000/= which will cover workshop fees, materials, and e-certificates of attendance.

National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) Reimbursement:
The Institute is registered as a trainer with National Industrial Training Authority. The Institute’s registration number is DIT/TRN/47. Participants who are registered levy contributors should apply to NITA for reimbursement of their fees. Please note that this is applicable for Kenyan citizens only and subject to NITA regulations.
