OVERVIEW
The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) has a mandate bestowed upon it by the Accountants Act No.15 of 2008 – Laws of Kenya, to develop and regulate accountancy in Kenya. Additionally, as a member of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), ICPAK has more responsibilities as outlined in various International Education Standards (IESs) for professional accountants and Statement of Member Obligations (SMOs) in maintaining lifelong learning among professional accountants. The Institute ensures lifelong learning through carrying out CPD trainings categorized as follows: Conferences, Seminars, Virtual Symposiums, Webinars, CPD Bytes and Videos, Online Exams, Certifications, Master Classes and In house customized trainings.
As part of its efforts to fulfil the above objectives, ICPAK has revamped its CPD offering with an aim of imparting deep technical expertise to its members and non-members alike. This is implemented through the Annual CPD Calendar which has enabled the Institute to roll out various new innovative courses in 2021 and 2022. In line with the innovation road map, the Institute has packaged intensive technical courses for senior executives that will be rolled out in a two-week cluster period. The Executive Leadership Course has been designed to address specific leadership needs faced by senior executives in their day-to-day life. Senior executives are faced with a unique challenge of rising to the occasion in the face of disruptions as witnessed during the pandemic and thus their leadership skills ought to be dynamic and ready for such transformational times as these.
The courses will utilize various learning methods such as presentations, case studies, group works, illustrations, videos, demonstrations, questions & answers among others, including an online quiz that will be administered at the end of the course. Successful attendees will be awarded physical certificates of proficiency in the specific subject matter.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This seminar has been designed to provide an opportunity for senior executives to share experiences and ideas on the various dilemmas and opportunities as presented above.

The two week seminar is ideal for Board Members, Board Chairpersons, Board Committee Members and Committee Chairpersons, Board Secretaries, CEOs, Managing Directors, Senior Management, Aspiring Board Members, Business Owners and Entrepreneurs, Chief Managers, Heads of Departments, Chief Finance Officers, Chief Operations Officers, Chief Information Officers, Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Human Resources Manager, Chief Security Officer, Chief Green Officer, Chief Analytics Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Data Officer, Management Consultants, and Accounting Officers of Government Units and entities. These courses are not limited to the accountancy profession only, leaders from other units are highly encouraged to attend.
FINANCIAL COMMITMENT :
The seminar charges are Ksh 340,000 per delegate for both members and non-members.

CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT UNITS
Members of ICPAK and those from other reciprocating professional bodies will earn 28 CPD units upon successful completion of the course.

NITA REIMBURSEMENT
The Institute is registered as a trainer with National Industrial Training Authority. The Institute’s registration number is DIT/TRN/47. Participants who are registered levy contributors should apply to NITA for reimbursement of their fees. Please note that this is applicable for Kenyan citizens only and subject to NITA regulations.
