Financial Reporting: Future of Corporate Reporting
Date: 21st August 2020
Time: 16:00 to 17:00 hours
Where: Webinar
Introduction
Corporate reporting practice is constantly evolving in response to the dynamic business and regulatory environments. Over the years, the trend in corporate financial reporting has been towards inclusion of non-financial disclosures, employing technology, reporting continuously, among others. In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, corporate reporting practices may further be altered especially following the disruption of business environments. This could translate to greater transparency for example through better reporting of business risks faced by organizations in their strategic reports.
This webinar will explore the direction of future corporate reporting from the perspective of management as well as audit practitioners. Some of the areas to be discussed include:
- Changing disclosure requirements
- Assurance and the trend towards continuous reporting
- Impact of technology and remote working
- Getting ready for the future of corporate reporting
Target Audience
This webinar will be most beneficial to members in practice, investor organizations, corporate managers, accountants, finance professionals, academia and the regulatory and standard-setting communities.
