Business continuity planning: Is Your Board Structured for Impact?
Date: Friday 10th July 2020
Time: 16:00 – 17:00 Hours
Overview
The concept of sustainability implies a longer view. In the past, organizations have been urged to take a long-term approach to strategic planning rather than focusing on short-term concerns such as the current or next quarter’s strategies. However, COVID-19 has forced boards and management to focus quickly and intensely on many short-term issues; ranging from the health and well-being of staff, ruptured supply chains, severe drops in revenues/liquidity/cashflows, to overseeing difficult decisions on such issues as lay offs, shutting down facilities, and in some cases perpetual closure of business.
Considering the scenario above, the board may also need medium-term and long-term perspectives for the recovery and beyond, asking management key and difficult questions on business continuity. Does your organization’s pre-pandemic strategic plan make sense in a post-pandemic environment?
In this webcast, we shall discuss what actions should be taken to enhance resilience for the duration of the pandemic and post pandemic.
