Covid-19 is impacting the audit process and the auditor, in the same way as it has done to almost every aspect of society. It is putting unprecedented strain on the audit firms, audit departments, the audit process and the planning. Many businesses are faced with operational difficulties. However, entities must remember that the restrictions resulting from the virus, will also impact financial reporting requirements and increase the focus on certain areas during audits.
This outbreak presents an opportunity for the audit profession to reflect on the recognition of its public interest responsibility, and to demonstrate its independence and resilience to external factors. Auditors should continue to apply the fundamental principles of integrity, objectivity, professional competence and due care, confidentiality and professional behavior,

Performing auditing procedures in the middle of this pandemic is troublesome for many auditors. In some cases, auditors may encounter scope limitations. This webinar will address some of those possible limitations, including:

- Forecasting related to going concern
- Performing subsequent event procedures
- Performing physical inventory observations
- Accessing client records
- Understanding and testing internal control
- Obtaining management representations
