Overview:
ICPAK aims to improve the quality of general-purpose financial reporting by private public for profit and not for profit organizations leading to better informed assessments of the resource allocation and utilization decisions, thereby increasing transparency and accountability.
In light of developments in reporting under the full IFRSs, the IFRS for SMEs and IPSAS this interactive Finance Reporting training course will present an explanation of specific IASB technical requirements in a clear, practical format, including an overall review of the rationale and objectives for IASB standards that are included in the programme.
In addition, active participation by all participants through a combination of direct instruction, analysis and evaluation of practical case studies, examples and exercises to illustrate application of the standards as well as current and future issues and other “real life” examples will be encouraged.
In addition to a review of current accrual basis IPSASs, our specialist instructors provide guidance on transitioning to the accrual basis.
The Financial Reporting Workshop focus areas are:
- IFRS 16 Leases: with specific implementation guideline for the effective implementation in year 2019
- IFRS 17 Insurance contracts
- IPSAS 32 service concession arrangements:
- Overview of IFRS for SMES in contrast to full IFRS
- Integrated reporting and Reporting for Sustainability
- Fire award 2019 feedback
