AUDIT STAFF TRAINING WORKSHOP
Venue: Hilton Hotel, Nairobi
Date: 14th -15th November 2019
Time: 9am To 4pm
The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) is a statutory body of accountants with the mandate to develop and regulate accountancy profession in Kenya. The Institute is further mandated under Sec 8 of the Accountants’ Act of 2008 to advise the Cabinet Secretary for Finance on matters relating to governance and accountability in all sectors of the economy.
With recent cases of finger-pointing at the auditor for mis-identification of risks within an organization, the attendant blame and discontent from the public demonstrate how vulnerable the auditor has become in the discharge of his duties. This calls for more innovative and advanced ways of doing the audit work. In view of this, technology by way of automation can remove some of the challenges so far experienced and give more acceptable outcomes of the audit. It is against this backdrop that the Institute has organized the “Audit Staff Training Workshop” to be held as from 14th – 15th November 2019 at Hilton Hotel, Nairobi.
