A. Introduction
We live in an age of disruption and rapid technological advancement. Any organizations unable to adapt quickly to changing market conditions are doomed to failure, and innovation is a must in the constant battle to stay ahead. However, it is something very few companies do well.
Finance needs to be a key driver for change. Today’s CFO needs to be a strategy, a business model enabler, and a custodian of the discipline of innovation. Finance teams need to put themselves at the centre of innovation, while lending understanding to the business as it relates to focus and expected results. They need to be a collaborative part of the digital dream team to cut across IT, HR, marketing and the broader business.
This forum will offer C-Level executives an intimate environment for focused discussions on innovating Successfully. The forum provides updates on relevant topical issues in the areas of finance and strategy and at the same time provides a platform for networking with peers.
The 10th CFOs Forum has been jointly organized by ICPAK and Oracle to probe th following:
- As a CFO, what’s your role in the whole concept of innovation?
- How can CFOs promote innovation, while still managing risk and ensuring long-term financial goals are met?
- Panel Discussion: How can CFOs use their promotion of innovation to strengthen their relationship with the executive team and solidify their position as a strategic thinker and leader?
- Round table Discussion: Which technology and/or other non-technology trends have potential to significantly reshape the business landscape and have the biggest impact on the innovation process? Which of these are more impactful on the innovation process?
