a. Overview
Entrepreneurship is one of the few things everyone across the country can agree on as something to be promoted.
New, young and particularly growing businesses are essential to stimulating job growth, salary and wage growth, and raising standards of living. Unfortunately, despite its popularity, trends in entrepreneurship seem to be moving in the wrong direction. For several years, the rate of business creation in Kenya has been falling. Overall economic dynamism—the productive turnover of companies and jobs—has been declining in all sectors of the economy. These negative trends in entrepreneurship can be associated with discouraging economic trends, including stagnant wages and low economic mobility.
To address these challenges and explore exciting opportunities, ICPAK has organized a one-day technical entrepreneurship workshop that will help you gain knowledge on establishing and nurturing business start-ups to maturity.
The Institute will engage leading thinkers to stimulate and coach on creative innovation with focus on the following sub-themes:
Moving from an idea to commercialization – Igniting start-ups
- Sustainable business model – Creating and building value
- Basic Business Plan and the registration process
- Small and family business management – the dos and don’ts
