Overview

Personality has of late been embraced as a key factor in hiring, promotion, career advancement, personal growth and development. Personality refers to an individual’s behavior, style, characteristics, attitude, mindset and perception. An awareness of one’s personality is key in determining a career path especially since a lot of value is attached to career success.

The objectives of this training in matching personality and life goals to a career are:

• Career fit & advancement: Different personalities fit into diverse careers and matching ones personality to a career would ensure happiness and satisfaction of a person with their work. It is also likely to result in high levels of innovation and inventiveness and hence career growth.
• Behaviour change & etiquette: Workplaces call for high levels of adjustment in personal behaviour and understanding of others’ behaviour. An awareness of self and others personality would go a long way in enhancing maintaining the socially acceptable professional behaviour.
• Interpersonal relationships, team work and motivation: Productivity in the workplace is dependent on team work, maintenance of team spirit through team work and intrinsic motivation. An awareness of personality would help in improving all of them.
• Stress management and conflict resolution: An awareness of one’s personality enables one to handle the workplace relationships in a way that reduces distress while minimizing conflicts and resolving the issues arising in a sensitive and relationship enhancing strategies.
• Improved performance: For the employer, understanding diverse personality reduces staff turnover, sustains productivity and enhances These are key aspects to optimal performance.

The talk is aimed at helping participants understand their personalities while pinpointing the preferable careers.
