THE INSTITUTE OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS OF KENYA
(established under the Accountant Act, Laws of Kenya)
THE ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT SEMINAR
THEME: “ERM AS A BUSINESS ENABLER”
Date: 12th – 14th September 2018
Venue: Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa, Mombasa
Overview
The risk landscape and expectations on risk have changed over the past years. While each company faces specific concerns, the more challenging ERM subjects are generally consistent across companies and are largely unrelated to industry, geography, regulation or competitive landscapes. Most companies have an understanding of the risks they may be susceptible to but may not have an effective tried, tested and resourced plan in place. Implementation of ERM requires a rare combination of consensus, board support and an appreciation of various sensitive programs. Technological and demographic, among other changes, have added layers of complexity to the types of risk companies face and the speed at which those risks can arise. This therefore calls on ERM experts to strengthen their company’s risk management processes purely to protect capital and drive shareholder value.
In view of the above, ICPAK has outlined a very intriguing programme featuring power-packed presentations, insightful panel discussions and experiential learning.
