THE 6th ANNUAL GOVERNANCE AND ETHICS CONFERENCE
Date: 21st – 23rd March 2018
Venue: Travelers Beach Hotel, Mombasa
Theme: Contemporary Governance: Aligning to Business Dynamics
Overview
Governance is among key challenges faced by corporate executives today. Changes in society, new business models, globalization and shifting economic headwinds all contribute to making it more difficult for boards to respond effectively with the right corporate governance practices. Ethical problems have increasingly been recognized as symptoms of failing corporate governance, accountability and control in organizations thus shifting the focus and making new concepts such as green governance take center stage in boards. This year’s conference has been organized to examine current developments in governance while presenting solutions to different challenges faced by board members.
The programme has been well designed by presenting case studies, role assumption and simulation to the satisfaction of participants. At the end of the Conference, participants should achieve the following:
- Have an in-depth Understanding of Good Governance as a as a Catalyst of Innovation (Case study)
- Appreciate Stakeholder Engagement with a Focus on Considerations and Challenges (Panel Discussion)
- Understand Governance and Ethical Dilemmas Facing County Governments and way forward (role simulation)
- The Role of the Board in Risk Management; Case Studies on Tax and Fraud Risks
- Be in sync with Sustainability Reporting through updates from FiRe Award
