1.0 Brief
A common urban adage goes, ‘failing to plan is planning to fail’. This rings true for personal financial health now more than ever before. Stories of individuals who have at some point earned hefty incomes only to fall penniless shortly after are universal. Moreover, the modern day generation is known for earning incomes then living lavishly without giving a thought to personal development and the future. Indeed, in a world where goods and services can be purchased at the click of a button and sophisticated marketing campaigns are all around, it is easy to make unwise financial decisions hence the need for meticulous financial planning.
The objective of personal financial planning and management is to gain understanding of one’s financial situation and optimize the use of assets possessed towards attaining set goals. In many cases, this entails spending wisely, saving regularly and investing to grow assets through greater returns. Such planning takes into account a person’s risk appetite and helps lay a strategy for life’s uncertainties and challenges such as retirement, illnesses, job losses and economic turmoil.
As the year dawns, join us and learn how to best plan and manage your resources as well as explore ideas on investments for your future.
