Overview
An accountant working in the public or private sector must remain impartial and loyal to ethical guidelines when reviewing a company or individual’s financial records for reporting purposes. An accountant frequently encounters ethical issues regardless of the industry and must remain continually vigilant to reduce the chances of outside forces manipulating financial records, which could lead to both ethical and criminal violations.
The forum will enable participants to acquire critical thinking skills, apply professional judgement process and understand risk assessment activities applicable to accountants in line with respective regulations that govern the Profession. Delegates will also have opportunity to network and cross pollinate ideas for business and professional growth.

4.0 Continuous Professional Development Units
Members of ICPAK and other reciprocating professional bodies will earn 7 CPD points upon successfully attending the Accountants Professional Ethics Forum
5.0 National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) Reimbursement
The Institute is registered as a trainer with National Industrial Training Authority. The Institute’s registration number is DIT/TRN/47. Participants who are registered levy contributors should apply to NITA for reimbursement of their fees. Please note that this is applicable for Kenyan citizens only and subject to NITA regulations. Remember that to qualify you should apply to NITA for approval prior to the date of the conference. Further details can be obtained from their website (www.nita.go.ke).
